BladeTech Black Diamond DLC Steel Blades – Innovation Meets Performance
All blades sold as a pair.
BladeTech Black Diamond DLC coated hockey skate blades are built for players who demand innovation, durability and speed. The Black Diamond DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating fortifies the steel with diamond-like properties, making it far more resistant to damage than standard stainless steel. The result is a runner that shrugs off nicks, chips, corrosion and scratches, while keeping a razor-sharp edge stride after stride.
Maximum durability, longer edge life
Because the DLC coating is so hard, BladeTech Black Diamond blades hold their edge almost twice as long between sharpenings compared to standard blades. That means fewer trips to the sharpener, lower long-term costs and consistent performance throughout every game and practice. The coating also reduces friction against the ice, improving your glide so you carry more speed with less effort. Every blade starts from a base of high-quality steel and is finished with the diamond-like carbon layer that makes it virtually indestructible.
The Flex Force Advantage
BladeTech was the first company to introduce flexible hockey skate blades, powered by the patented Flex Force Advantage. The unique design lets the front of the blade flex up into the holder, storing vertical energy and releasing it as you extend your stride. This technology increases acceleration and gives skaters an average 5.5% increase in speed — energy that would normally be lost is instead put back into your stride.
Skate faster, play longer — with less strain
Beyond the speed advantage, the Flex Force system absorbs high-impact forces as the blade flexes into the holder, lowering stress on your ankles, knees and hips. That means fewer lower-body injuries, more efficiency and longer playing time on the ice. BladeTech blades also come pre-profiled, so they maintain better ice contact in every skating position — improving stability, glide, acceleration, stopping and turning compared with standard stock profiles.
